Design of controlled environments to optimize conditions for organism growth and development: growth equations and population dynamics; plant growth systems; microbial growth systems; animal growth systems; biotechnological applications. Prereq: Mathematics 231 Differential Equations; Coreq: 321 Biothermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer. 2 hours and 1 lab.
