CASNR Student Advisory Council Meeting Minutes August
26, 2004 -We
went around the room for an introduction. An
information sheet was passed around the room.
The organization representative wrote their name, who they are
representing, email, and birthday. Minutes: no previous minutes
Parliamentary Procedure
Presentation by Dr. Waters
-The council participated in 2 group exercises, the name game and the
human knot.
-Appointed Position Applications are still available!
We are still accepting applications for Open House and Undergraduate
Academic Council Student Representatives. The
Applications are due by Tuesday, September 7th by
-The student representative responsibilities were discussed.
An organization needs to send a representative.
The clubs rely on you for information.
You can have 2 meetings unexcused before you are demoted as
representative. If you can not
attend please send another club member in your place.
-Student Council needs to do 1 big service project.
However the council will decide how active or inactive the organization
becomes. -At
the next meeting we will be discussion website improvements.

A Calendar on the website was discussed.
This calendar would have all club activities for CASNR.
The goal of this calendar is to help lessen the ListServ emails.
Instead the info would be pasted on the website.
Please bring all future dates for the semester to next meeting.
-A Fall Festival in being looked into instead of a X-mas party for the
Boys and Girls Club. Since the last
day of classes is November 30th, the suggested dates are the week of
the October 22nd. Please
gather ideas from your organizations.
-Theressa Cooper made an announcement about the CASNR Luau.
The CASNR Luau is September 2nd from
-September 8th at Thompson Boling Arena will be the Fall Job
Fair. Any questions contact career
services or go to their website.
-SGA Representatives Adam Thompson and Amy Willis are working on trying
to get students parking permits for service projects on football game days.
Currently, the student can go to their department and they will contact
the parking service. Also a petition
will be set around in the future about the stoplight on Joe Johnson drive making
it a flashing red light.
-SAF will be having a breakfast out in front of Ellington September 27th.
-October 6th is the Career Fair on Campus. Minutes
