CASNR Student Advisory Council Meeting Minutes

November 20, 2003 

President Amy Willis called the meeting to order at 6:37p.m.

All who were present were in a picture for the web.

Fall Graduation

Masters and Doctorates will be graduating Saturday evening and all undergraduates on Sunday.  All the names will be called this year.  Spoke about college graduation in spring.  She asked to discuss if there should be a meal before or after the ceremony. 

 CASNR Report

Email to Dr. Albrecht tomorrow to get it in the report.  Email addresses:  kausherm@utk.edu or mlalbrecht@utk.edu

Open House

Dr. Albrecht spoke about open house being a recruiting event for rising high school seniors.  Each club needs to have a rep for open house.  It will be on April 16^th and 17^th.

Bookstore

Amy Willis urged all the clubs to get the bookstore resolutions back to her ASAP.  If the club votes “no” she still needs a response from clubs on their letterhead.

Christmas Party

Carol White discussed the Christmas Party and got updates from club reps.  All donations are to be made out to ASAE.  She showed some of the gift ideas and went over the stations and assignments.

Jane Howell made an announcement about the Ag Biz Club selling shirts for $15.

Adam Thompson made an announcement about SGA and asked for any suggestions or problems they would like to see addressed by SGA.  Carol White brought up a bill that was passed by SGA that allowed phone activation of meal plan for Mabels.

Bus problems were addressed by Dr. Hart and Dr. Albrecht.  Dr. Hart mentioned that the express bus needs to have riders to be kept in route next year.

Carol White moved to adjourn.  It was seconded and passed.  Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
