CASNR Student Advisory Council Meeting Minutes

March 17, 2005

President Carol White called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.

Roll Call was taken by Jessica Huffman.

Guest Speakers

SGA representatives Curtis Sanderfer and Megan Welch

            “Impact”: Community, Academics, Communication

            AG Representatives: Sloan Regan and Courtney Handcock

SGA Representatives Jeremy Durham and Cassie Levy

            “Tennessee Tomorrow”: Safety, Textbook costs, CASNR advisor on SGA exec

            AG Representatives: TC Carrigan and Ashley Wilson

Old Business

T Bus Route

Are there still any problems?? 

The “bus driver shift change” and “break time” is conflicting with the class change.

Parking

The problem of spaces available seems to have improved.  Ticker writes will be coming over once a week to enforce the designated parking areas.

New Business

Open House

Open House is going to be held April 8-9, 2005 in Brehm Animal Science arena and Hollingsworth auditorium.  It is now all down to the details.  VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!!!!  Please email Angelike Angelopoulos or Dr. Hart if you can help out.

Officer Elections

Officer elections will be next meeting April 21st.  Go to the Student Council website for an application.  To be considered the representative must be present.  Also make sure that the 2005-2006 (NEW) Student Council Representative is in attendance or applying for officer position.  .

Announcements

Next Meeting: April 21, 2005 at 5:30pm  in room 157 Plant Biotech Building…..We will be electing new officers.

College Ambassador Applications are due March 18th!

CASNR Awards Banquet: April 5th, 2005

GRADUATION: MAY 7th:!!!!

            Overall Graduation: 8:30am in Thompson-Boling Arena

            College Graduation: 3:30pm at Knoxville Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B

            Parking will be available in the 11th Street Garage

Senior Gifts (more information on the website)

            $35=Name imprinted on a brick in the Greenway Mall Courtyard

            $100=Brick+ a lottery ticket for season tickets to football and basketball.

Carol White moved to adjourn.  It was seconded and passed.  Meeting was adjourned at 6:05p.m.
