The University of Tennessee Student Council met in a regular business meeting at 5:00 pm in room 226 of Morgan Hall, and the following business was conducted. President Suzanne Womac presided over the meeting. Nick West announced the CASNR Report deadline. It will be January 16th. This issue will be a December/January combination. Ella Brown announced that December 7th will be the deadline for the applications for both January and December Student of the Month nominees. Laura Moss, the newly appointed Open House co-chair was introduced. Charlie Young announced a meeting for the Open House representatives November 30, 2000 at 5:00 in MH room TBA. Monette Vessell is to preside over that meeting and coordinate all Open House activities this semester. Jamye Tims, the newly appointed Public Relations Coordinator was introduced. She can be contacted with story ideas at cojme@aol.com . The CASNR Christmas party was discussed. Everyone is expected to help set up the arena at 7pm December 4. The Party will be held December 5 at 4:30. All plans seem to be well underway. The Block and Bridle Club is sponsoring a teddy bear drive for the children. A prize will be given to the club who donates the most animals, provided that enough are received for each child to have one. The deadline is November 29, 2000. John Deer has donated ornaments for each child. During discussion about any CASNR concerns, it was brought up that the condition of the plant beds around the greenhouses was almost embarrassing. We were informed that those greenhouses would soon be torn down and that (and the lack of maintenance employees) is the reason the beds were being neglected. It was suggested that we implement an adopt-a-spot program for clubs to maintain the grounds. Group Pictures were taken, and the meeting was adjourned.
