CASNR Student Advisory Council Meeting Minutes
February 16, 2006

President Jessica Huffman called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

Mandi Pittenger took Roll Call

 Old Business

-          Student of the Semester nomination deadline has been moved to Friday, February 24^th.

-          Winner will be announced this spring

-         These can be returned to the Dean’s office in Morgan Hall

-          There can be one representative from each club for the fall semester

 New Business

Varsity Visit – Feb. 25^th

-          Schedule of Events:

-          8:30 Registration

-          9:00 Welcoming

-          Contest for Scholarship Money

-          1^st place - $5000

-          2^nd place - $3500

-          3^rd place - $2500

-          Lunch will be provided along with a ticket to the men’s UT basketball game.

Open House will be a chance for the community to see all of the hard work that CASNR has done.

-         Dates: April 7^th & 8^th

-         Where: Brehm Arena and Hollingsworth Auditorium

-         Chairs: Angelike Angeloponlas and Karla Walden

-         Every club will need a representative.

-         Volunteers are needed especially on Friday, lunch will be provided on Saturday for volunteers.

CASNR Awards Banquet

-          Committee has met and several awards have been sent out, so the selection process is underway

-          Banquet will be held on April 4^th

 Graduation

-         Will be May 12^th

-         Campus wide ceremony will be held in Thompson Bowling Arena and starts at 8:30

-         CASNR ceremony starts at 11:00 and is held in the Knoxville Convention Center

-         Registration is mandatory; this is available on the website.

-         Sitting arrangements will be by majors.
