Description UT OSCP Program Looking for a Few Good Interns

UT’s Organic and Sustainable Crop Production Program will be offering five paid internships for the creation and implementation of a market garden program. In this program, interns will gain skills in business planning and management, vegetable and small fruit planning and production, and direct marketing by selling what they produce at a community market on campus. The production component of the internship program will be 9-months long (March through November) with a 16-hour farm/market commitment per week. Interns will also be expected to attend the Sprouting Growers workshop series and register for an Ag Econ 350: The Food and Agricultural Marketing System in the spring of 2010 to create a business plan for the market garden. More information can be found at: http//:organics.tennessee.edu. Don't delay to be one of the first five interns in the program!
