Graduate Teaching Assistant/Computer lab coordinator


Position:2-year 1/4 GTA position plus fee waiver and health insurance as computer lab coordinator for 50-workstation computer lab located in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Applicant MUST BE either a current or accepted M.S. graduate student in any of the majors in CASNR - Agricultural Economics, Agricultural and Extension Education, Animal Science, Biosystems Engineering, Biosystems Engineering Technology, Environmental and Soil Sciences, Entomology and Plant Pathology, Food Science, Foresty, Wildlife and Fisheries, or Plant Sciences. If you are not planning to obtain a masters degree from one of these majors, DO NOT APPLY. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.

Responsibilities:

  • Approximately 10 hours/week
  • Perform general lab duties such as servicing printers, updating and installing software, following up on warranty repairs, assisting with special use of the lab by different groups on campus, troubleshooting computer and network problems

Requirements:
  • Enrolled or accepted into M.S. graduate program in UT College of Ag Sci and Nat Resources
  • Above average skills in PC software and hardware

Salary:Dependent upon qualifications. Includes fee waiver (including out-of-state).
