Knoxville Vegetable Field Day, June 14



The 2001 Knoxville Vegetable Field Day will be held June 14 at the Knoxville Experiment Station's Plant Sciences Unit, approximately 5 miles south of the UT Agricultural Campus on Alcoa Highway (US 129).

Registration begins at 7:30 am, followed at 8:00 by six presentations, each given hourly for six sessions, allowing visitors to attend each presentation. Topics include tomato cultivars, muskmellons, irrigation and fertigation of vegetable crops, disposal alternatives for agricultural plastics, food safety, and pumpkin varieties and productions systems. In addition, various industry and educational groups will be exhibiting.
