Student Creativity Displayed at EURCA

Showcasing innovative student work, the University annually sponsors an Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement. This year four of the sixteen teams in the Engineering category were from the Biosystems Engineering & Environmental Science Department, with 12 students participating.

The Underwater Video Mapping System presented by Chris Butler, Aaron Kline, Brian Marsh, and Clifton Robertson, and mentored by Paul Ayers, won one of three Engineering Division Awards. The team collected $200 for their efforts.

Also presenting strong projects were our three other teams:
  • Patrick Dobbs, Adam Byard, Bray Lewis and Preston McCary with their Spray Application Robot for Greenhouse Environments, mentored by John Wilkerson
  • Jordan Zanetis with Surfactant and Microemulsion Studies, mentored by Douglas Hayes
  • Jonathan Burton, Jill Kovalchik, and Amy Longcrier with A Ball Impact Research Tool For Golf Greens, mentored by John Sorochan of the Plant Sciences Department
