Ag to Main Campus Bridge Now Open

After years of debate, the bridge connecting the Main and Agricultural campuses has opened. Running from the western end of Andy Holt Avenue on the Main campus to the eastern end of Center Drive on the Agricultural campus, the bridge spans Third Creek and the railroad tracks. Cost of the project was ~$10 million.

The bridge includes four vehicle lanes, a sidewalk, and a bike lane. The bike lane connects to a new bike path along Center Drive and an existing bike path along Third Creek. Since the bridge blocked the existing access to the back of the BEES Lab/Classroom building, an access road is under construction from near the intersection of Center and Chapman Drives, running under the bridge to the back of the lab building. A light has been added at this intersection to handle the additional bridge traffic.
